Load torque limiting system for lifting tools

ifp is developing a comprehensive hardware and software solution for simulating cable breaks in military vehicles. This system supports the training of maintenance personnel by providing realistic troubleshooting scenarios. The hardware is based on the PC104 platform and enables precise analysis of Ethernet data traffic between vehicle components. A set of rules stored in XML is used to interrupt cables under program control in order to simulate cable breaks. For this purpose, suitable AS-Interface clients (relays) are installed at strategic points in the vehicle, which realistically represent the cable interruption. The underlying AS bus enables both data transmission from the AS master to the clients and power supply via a 2-wire line.
